In the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight ,It is presumed that earnings in the case feud varied vastly.
In a staggering revelation, Jake Paul, who has been dubbed by many as an internet sensation, recorded one of the decisive periods during the match held on Friday against Mike Tyson and won by United decision over the freestyle performer and athlete who has earned lots of millions of dollars likely in both ways. Yet, the amount that they both were compensated could have varied greatly.
At the press conference dated August 18 two weeks before the fight, Paul stated ‘I have come here for the 40 million dollars and to knockout the legend’ (slightly edited as he did not knockout Tyson). No comments confirming or contradicting dispersal of funds to Paul by his managers have been found at the appropriate sources.
Prior entering the trade of boxing, Paul was already a millionaire due to his status as a YouTube star, and now, he earns most of his fortunes from fighting. It is reported in *Forbes* that the age of 27 Paul was among the richest sportspersons in the year 2022, as he earned around 45 million dollars.
On the contrary, there has been no information released by Tyson or by the fight promoters as to how much Tyson was paid for the fight; however, various individuals within the industry have speculated that it was about $20 million. There too Tyson’s aides were not available for comments.
In October, Tyson responded to a challenge issued by Paul, who offered to pay him $5 million if the 58-year-old fighter was able to survive until the fifth round. If he did not make it that far, he would have to get tattooed with the words ‘I love Jake Paul’. The fight went the distance, covering all eight rounds. When asked about the offer, Tyson told *USA Today* “He needs to offer more. Ask him, probably about 20 million dollars.”
